Very cool teaser video… I’ve been waiting for this announcement for quite some time. I’ll add 8.25 to my calendar!

I just wish so much time wasn’t put into the video teaser and a good month (or more) knocked off the release date.

The release date was not easy to make and determine as there was so many factors involved. Actually, Aug 25th is a blessing considering what we’ve been through. Thanks!
That trailer was pretty over the top, but when I actually SAW the images of the new CAP 2.0 actions, I forgot all about the silly trailer. Can’t wait for the release date… I’m gonna use the time until then to design my new products!

Although I love the looks of the new ACP 2, I still need something to work with, so I am using the original set. The truth is that I can’t wait for 2 months before the new one comes out.
My PC crashed a month ago due to a very nasty virus, and I cannot seem to log into the old site where the tutorials for installation and use were.
Can you possibly explain why I cannot login or can’t get the page to come up? I’d appreciate it immensely!
I did notice that a couple of people commented about this problem, but you didn’t post a response, so I figured I’d give it a go.

I am sensing a good deal of frustration with the delayed release of this product. When all said and done, it is a set of Photoshop actions! It is hardly rocket science.
Mark, I say this with the greatest respect, TAKE THE VIDEO DOWN. I realize you have to market your product, but there ain’t no product yet! This whetting of the appetite has been going on since 2008, and clearly several of us are tired of it.
CAP 2.0 was “in the final stages of testing” months ago. Quality is important, but so is the release date. Do not let perfectionism get in the way. Release the product now, and WE will tell you what’s wrong with it. Given your 110% effort, I cannot imagine there is much wrong with it.
If there really is so much work left to do, then why not share a weekly status report with us. List of tasks, % complete etc. The usual project management stuff. That would take a small fraction of the time you spent on that sizzle-but-no-steak video, and would be much more interesting to me.
I’m gonna have to agree with Jeff on this one, the video is a bit over the top…I think a personal video from you Mark either issuing an apology for the delay or explaining why it’s taking so long and covering some of the new features would go along way. The last thing people want right now is more hype…that’s all we’ve heard for the last year or so. The covers look great, but waiting two more months is going to wear on people unless they have more info about why.

I don’t know why everybody is complaining. As I remember, you never gave us a launch date so, I can’t say you’re late. I’m just wondering how many people know what actually involves to create a great product and also if people are complaining to Adobe or Apple when they are advertising a new product that will be released only in couple of years.
Just keep up the good work and now that we have the release date I can’t wait to get it.
Martha… you clearly do not know “what actually involves to create a great product”. To compare a set of action scripts with the mega products developed by Adobe and Apple is really quite silly. You are clearly new to this CAP hype.

Hi everyone,
Some of the comments were on hold by my assistant until I got around to viewing them. Everyone has some very interesting points. It’s obvious CAP took longer then expected and I feel your pain for the long wait. Yes, I’m doing my best to keep you excited along the way. The part that took the longest was the amount of Actions that were created. I didn’t higher anyone to make them. I created them myself because I wanted to direct every step. After this we did go through a good amount of testing. The project was also sent to people in other countries to test for multilingual compatibility since we had a hand full of users in Europe that have been asking about it for a long time. We corrected the bugs and tested again. It’s now working very well for most international folks.
All the updates that were posted on the blog were true, but then I ran into some problems and we had some delays with our resources that were totally unexpected, you know, things come up, I had to deal with them and then we continued on. I am happy to say that we are finally on track and out of the gut of the work and now on to promotion and publicity.
Many people already knew about CAP2 a year ago, but we also want to try and introduce the product to new comers as well. With that said I will be posting on a regular basis up until launch day to answer more questions. And if you are wondering when the Actions will be finished, well guess what… they are already done.
I’m currently working on some training videos that go into detail on how to get the most out of these Scripts. They will be produced on a separate DVD. This along with a 120 page full-size book that was just completed last week. There is also more DVDs that are included but I’ll tell you about them later. Now it’s off to the printing press for the next month.
I just wanted to say thank you for everyone here that has supported me and I really think you’re going to like what has been the biggest, most intense product I have ever created. Someone said “Just Action scripts” but to me and how I do my business it’s much much more than that.

Ian… indeed, I’m not an expert, but I think you can consider CAP 2.0 more than just “a set of action scripts”, it seams that is acting almost like a software program and if this would be so easy nobody will have to wait for this product and they would do it themselves. And yes, I will compare this and many other products with Adobe or Apple, they all started small and ended up where they are right now. My only disappointment is to see that we are all waiting for this product and instead of supporting and recognizing he’s work most of the people here are just underestimating his effort.

Pretty neat I’d say. Yeah, I got the other CAP but for me, I’m waiting patiantly. Don’t matter how long Mark Takes personally cause I know it’s going to be awesome.
But do share with us, even if it’s you just talking on a camera, saying how you did the video,what software you used, how you got it on here, with it’s own full page and go automatically to next page when it finished.
I nearly thought some star trek new movie was about to happen. Awesome.
