Photoshop CS5 is here. CAP2 is happy.

A slew of new product shots have been added to the Cover Action Pro Showcase. See what other people are making with the action scripts, get some ideas too!
Almost everyone and their sister knows how to take a screenshot by now. But how about one that actually scrolls a webpage? Paparazzi! is one of the easiest tools I’ve found for the Mac. No bloated interface or confusing features, just enter any URL and go! Great for taking snap shots of your work. And the best part is, it’s free. Paparazzi!

Just an ordinary day at the office, then, out of the blue an email pops up from the Vice President of John Wiley & Sons: Vincent Marzano. My first thought was, “oh no, what did I do”. But after chatting back and forth through email (and talk about a really nice guy), Vincent requests the highest number of licenses available for Cover Action Pro 2.0
Wiley is already a house hold name and famous for their For Dummies books seen everywhere they are a global publisher of print and electronic products, specializing in scientific, technical, medical and scholarly journals, encyclopedias, books, and online products and services. I suggest checking out some of their books. The “dummies” name can be quite deceiving but they’re actually very informative guides, even if you want to learn Yoga.

Just got my first email yesterday regarding Photoshop CS5. The most common question is. “Will Cover Action Pro work with CS5?“ And the same day I receive another email asking “Will CAP work with Photoshop 7.0?”. Hmmm.. Photoshop who? When someone writes “7.0″ in an email, it always makes me cringe. It brings back old memories though. It makes me remember the time before my 8 year old son was born, working in a 2 bedroom apartment with a Sony Trinitron CRT basketball rounded monitor on a home made PC. I didn’t even own a cell phone. Imagine that. Will this work with 7.0??? Well, you could try it. Or, you can go to ebay.com and find a cheap upgrade to at least CS2. Now that I can guarantee.
Ok, off the rant.
The answer is…… Yes! Although there may be some tweaks (like always) for some of the Actions. To give you a more realistic answer – I’ll make sure it works great with CS5 but be prepared for an update if we need one. The final testing will be on the retail version, not the beta. This is when you will be so glad you signed up to the CAP Newsletter after you purchased the product. Wait, you did sign up didn’t you? No worries though, I’ll shoot an email out to everyone later.
The cats out of the bag with Adobe’s new Creative Suite CS5 launching April 12, 2010. Great enhancements and new bells and whistles to come. The more exciting new Content-Aware Fill feature is all the rage backed up by the new Content Aware option (Check Box) that has been added to the Spot Healing Brush. Dream come true for the photo geeks out there. For the rest of us designer dudes, well… back to work as usual. Check out the excitement and join Adobe for the Announcement of cs5.

I hope this makes up for the lack of updates!
Right now you can download these 3 exclusive Photoshop CS4 Actions from a new series that is being worked on (Bottles & Cans). Please make note, these scripts work best with CS4. There may be flaws if running on earlier versions so please keep that in mind.
Let me know how they work out. Thanks!
